UK Awards Centre in partnership with Skills Education Group Awards, and the other being the presentation of the Centre Certificate for the Athena Academy

On the 28th of March, two significant events took place, one being the opening of the UK Awards Centre in partnership with Skills Education Group Awards, and the other being the presentation of the Centre Certificate for the Athena Academy for Strategic Management.

The UK Awards is a newly established awarding body that offers world-class qualifications both in the UK and internationally. The opening of the UK Awards Centre marks the official office for the UK Awards, which brings together a team of experts in vocational training and is headed by John Kerr, former CEO of Edexcel, UK. The UK Awards centre will work closely with Skills and Education Group Awards, a 110-year-old awarding organisation recognised by CCEA, Ofqual, and Qualification Wales. Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to support learners in achieving their full potential, no matter their age, background or ability.

The event was attended by Mr Paul Eeles, Chief Executive of Skills Education Group, Scott Forbes, Director of Development and Delivery, and Mr Joy Jyoti Nandi, Director MBIEN UK and Representative UK Awards. During the event, Mr Eeles expressed his excitement about working alongside UK Awards in delivering qualifications through Skills and Education Group Awards, and he also expressed his best wishes to the management of the Athena Group for their success.

The second significant event was the presentation of the Centre Certificate for the Athena Academy for Strategic Management. The certificate was received by Mr Mevan Wickramasinghe, Director of Athena Academy for Strategic Management. This presentation marked a significant achievement for the Athena Academy and was an opportunity for Mr Eeles to express his best wishes for their future success.

Overall, the events held on the 28th of March were significant in the development of the education and skills sector. The opening of the UK Awards Centre and the presentation of the Centre Certificate for the Athena Academy for Strategic Management signify the commitment of both organisations towards providing world-class qualifications and supporting learners in achieving their full potential.
